I believe we drank a small bottle of whiskey and watched the sunset. That is my aunt’s guitar. Those are my friends. I am trying to recollect and learn. I hope it is of service. I’m disabused of the illusion that this will lead to financial security or spiritual authentication. I often have thought of destroying these records because they are some sort of fool’s errand with a false promise. There is a reason to do everything though, and everything is meaningless. We must remember the meaning.

MENDOCINO, CALIFORNIA Cerca October 2005 myself and several other musicians from California were paid by a conglomerate of local entrepreneurs to entertain agricultural laborers in a remote Northern portion of the state. The scenery was very good and the people were interesting. I slept alone in a blue tent in the cold night and was treated well despite my social disabilities. The music I played from what I remember, was not my finest work, but not a disaster either.

BARCELONA, SPAIN

The day was hot and humid. Emily and I walked around the city and looked at the art and architecture. We saw Antonio Gaudi buildings and anonymous graffiti. We saw a view of the whole city from Park Güell. At night time we played a game of charades with Mikey, his girlfriend, and their friend Matt in Mikey’s apartment. Matt played some country songs on the guitar, and Mikey and I played songs too.
