MON OCT 6, 2008 // SPELLS DEMONSTRATION RECORDING EXPERIMENTS

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

I recorded these demos in the fall of 2008.  I was dating Pua at the time, and taking piano and music theory from Jono Kornfeld at the Community Music Center in my neighborhood. I made these demo recordings in my living room, to prepare to make the studio record "Spells" in Hyde Street Studios. Pua was an artist and was creating collages that turned out to help illustrate the album and the novella I wrote to accompany it.  I will include some of those collages here. Also, Jono helped me a lot with the arrangements for the recordings.

SAT SEPT 29, 2007 // VISITING OBO + GUILIA

NEVADA CITY, CALIFORNIA

I drove from San Francisco to Nevada City to visit Obo and Guilia in the house where they were living. They lived in the forest which was very pleasant. Obo made a nice dinner and knew how to use a bay leave to make soup which impressed me. At night I did not sleep well because a cat persisted in walking on my face.
